A ketogenic diet is high in fat, with moderate protein and very low amounts of carbohydrates. However, many of these recipes include pretzels, corn, flour, margarine, etc. Pretzels, corn, and flour are absolutely not included in a keto way of eating due to carbohydrates. Margarine is a gross butter replacement, in a diet where butter is preferred. Aside from this, the book is rife with errors that should have been caught by an editor.
I did give one star as there are a few intriguing recipes that will likely require editing to be made ketogenic.
Loved the recipes. There was also a good brief introduction about ketogenic diet that will help readers know its importance. Usually, when people hear about diet high in fats, they have a negative connotation immediately but there are healthy fats which can actually help people lose weight healthily. This book, with its various recipes, guided me in making my own ketogenic meals. I definitely recommend this book.
Many of these recipes are not ketogenic. 25g of carbs per serving does not cut it. There are a few recipes that make the grade, but otherwise, pass on this. 10 minutes on Google will get you 3x as many GREAT keto recipes for free.
recipes too simplistic

I was terribly disappointed to see the following ingredients in the book pretzels, hot dog buns, tortillas, tortilla chips, rice, noodles, flour, French rolls, and so forth. The nutritional information seemed innacurate or misleading. For instance if you are directed to serve with noodles or rice but with no indication of quantities, the carb load cannot be accurate.
A true ketogenic diet should have most of its calories from fat, a little protein, and very little to no starchy or sugary carbohydrates. That is not reflected in this cookbook. The classic ketogenic diet is 41 fat to protein & carbohydrate by weight. That's 90% or more calories from fat. That's not this cookbook.
First I should have read the reviews beore I purchased.
Second I know its cheap, and the recipes might be tasty, but they are in no way ketogenic. I doubt if the author knows what ketogenic is, because many of the recipes suggest serving with chips, crackers or tortilla chips--definitely not part of a low carb diet. I suspect the nutritional data is wrong because someone who pretends to be an author has a lot of grammar and/or misspellings in the introduction. I hope that anyone who wants to lose weight does not makes these dishes expecting to go into ketosis because it won't happen.
Third If someone really wants to understand a ketogenic diet, they need to get real information and not the glib two sentence explanation that was probably plagarized from someone else.
